Creative people
are considered blessed with their ability to transform one creation into
another. Do you believe that you are blessed with creativity? If yes, then hone
your skills with these tips. And if you say you aren’t, then before skipping this
post just read few lines of what we have to say.
We don’t believe
that creativity is something you are physically born or related with like blue
eyes or black hair but it is something we believe that we’re all inborn with. As
a child, each and every one of us has played, examined and experimented with
all things that caught our attention .While growing up, most of us skip our
ability to analyze things and instead become slave to the materialistic world. That
doesn’t mean creativity is easily available. Like all other works /profession
that needs to sharpen the skills to excel, creativity needs hard work and
patience. One should note that our creativity still has roots in these
childhood abilities. The following tips would help you to get some basic skills
to replenish your creativity.
- Read back your life wherein you have done something creative in your life like painting on walls, scribbling rhymes on a paper or made something creative out of the rubble. This is where you have to start from .Your own history would give you a clue on your passion.
- Restrict your choice to broaden your possibilities. Limiting choice does have a great impact on the outcome of our work. Works like writing 55 or 100 word fictions by limiting your words or cooking a dish with just 3 or 4 ingredients would make the task complex thereby making your memory work out the possibilities .You may never know on what innovation you may land with your probable outcome
- Lookout for groups or communities in your area. You can also join blogs, logrolls and events which are spread over the Internet. This will help to discuss and motivate one another by giving prompts and pictures to learn the skills
- Know your limitations and always start from small and slowly increase the rate at which you work on your project. For example instead of starting straight away with a novel, start small with a poem or an article and get them published. Then, slowly increase your amount of work to writing a short story. Doing this would help you learn how capable are you to engage your readers and how effectively you can do a work.
- Plan your work and make them time related. This will make sure you don’t keep postponing your work.
- Make mistakes. Unless you have made one, you don’t know whether you have learnt your art. Experiment like a child and learn from mistakes.
